Ministry of Religious Affairs Announces Further Reduction in Hajj 2025 Package Prices

ISLAMABAD:The Ministry of Religious Affairs has announced a further reduction in the prices of the “long-duration” and “short-duration” Hajj packages for 2025. This reduction comes after agreements made in Saudi Arabia, which resulted in significant savings on hotel and accommodation costs.
Minister for Religious Affairs, Chaudhry Salik Hussain, made the announcement during a press conference, stating that the cost of the 40-day long-duration Hajj package has been reduced by an additional 25,000 rupees, while the cost of the 25-day short-duration Hajj package has been cut by 50,000 rupees.
Earlier, on January 29, 2025, the Ministry had announced that the cost of the long-duration Hajj package was set at 1,075,000 rupees per person, and the short-duration package was priced at 1,150,000 rupees. With the new reductions, the long-duration Hajj package will now cost 1,050,000 rupees per person, while the short-duration package will cost 1,100,000 rupees.
Saudi Arabia has allocated a quota of 179,210 Hajj pilgrims for Pakistan in 2025, which will be divided equally between the government and private schemes.
According to the Federal Minister, the third installment for the long-duration Hajj package will be 450,000 rupees, while the third installment for the 25-day short-duration Hajj package will be 500,000 rupees. Pilgrims must submit their third installment at designated banks from February 6 to February 14.
**Hajj Agreement Between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia: What New Facilities Will Be Available?**
An agreement for Hajj 2025 has been finalized between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. The agreement was signed by Federal Minister for Religious Affairs, Chaudhry Salik Hussain, and Saudi Minister for Hajj, Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah. This year, a total of 179,210 Pakistani pilgrims will perform Hajj. Both parties have agreed to provide the best facilities for the Pakistani pilgrims.
A spokesperson for the Ministry of Religious Affairs stated that Pakistani pilgrims will be given special accommodation in Mina, and the rates will be reduced. To make the Hajj journey more accessible, convenient, and comfortable, a 20 to 25-day short Hajj program has been introduced.
Each Hajj pilgrim will receive a specially designed bag containing the Pakistani flag, a QR code for identification, and relevant information. A dedicated mobile app will provide pilgrims with all necessary information on their phones, including details about their Hajj group, training schedules, flight information, accommodation in Saudi Arabia, payment details, and live maps and locations of key sites during Hajj.
