Meteor Shower Delight: Beautiful Display of Shooting Stars in Karachi’s Sky

Karachi witnessed a breathtaking sight on the night between Sunday and Monday as a meteor passed across the sky. The stunning display was captured by several citizens who recorded the event on their cameras, and the videos quickly went viral on social media.

The meteor was spotted at 2:43 AM, leaving viewers in awe as it streaked across the sky.

Experts explain that there are millions of meteors orbiting Earth, and the phenomenon is commonly referred to as a “shooting star.” According to astronomers, meteor showers occur annually or at regular intervals.

Meteors are fragments of asteroids that burn up in Earth’s atmosphere due to the heat generated by friction with oxygen and gravity, creating the spectacular light display.

NASA reports that every day, Earth experiences a cosmic rainfall of 100 to 300 tons of space dust and rocks, though their size is no larger than a grain of sand.
