Meeting Between Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Maulana Fazlur Rehman to Discuss Madrassa Registration Bill
Islamabad: A crucial meeting is scheduled between Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, the Chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), and Maulana Fazlur Rehman, the leader of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F), to discuss the issue of the Madrassa Registration Bill. The two leaders will address the concerns raised by Maulana Fazlur Rehman regarding the President’s refusal to sign the bill.
According to sources, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will brief Maulana Fazlur Rehman on the status of the Madrassa Registration Bill and its implications. The JUI-F leader has expressed dissatisfaction with the President’s decision not to approve the bill.
This meeting follows a previous phone call between the two leaders on the same issue.
In a separate development, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari also met with leaders from the Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) who recently joined the PPP. The meeting included prominent members who are vying for PPP tickets in the upcoming elections, such as Malik Amanat Rawal (PP 4) and Syed Atif Hussain Shah (PP 5).
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari welcomed them to the party and expressed his satisfaction over their decision to join the PPP. The meeting was attended by Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider, along with other PPP leaders including Sardar Faizan Haider, Malik Sher Ali Khan, Malik Asif Khan, Haji Malik Riasat Saddarial, and Haji Akhtar Ali, among others.
