Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman Condemns Violence in Gwadar, Criticizes Government Actions

Quetta:Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman expressed strong condemnation over the ongoing violence in Gwadar, where our mothers and sisters are being insulted. He criticized the recent deaths in Gwadar, which include two security personnel and one young man from Khuzdar.

“The killings, whether by the government or by the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), are condemned by us,” he stated.

The provincial government has deployed containers on all highways in Balochistan. “If a protest were to be held in Gwadar today, would it be the end of the world? We differ on their demands,” he added.

“They abuse me, saying, ‘Why did you contest in Gwadar?’ We know why Gwadar’s election was held. The government did not consult me on how to deal with them,” he said.

“Shutting down mobile networks and jamming communication channels—is that the right approach?” he questioned.

“The use of force has turned Balochistan into a graveyard. The cabinet is not informed about the decisions made in Balochistan,” he claimed.

“Will we now take decisions based on what the chowkidar says? Shall we ask the chowkidar if our honor is not protected? Who takes the rent?” he continued.

“There is a curfew in Gwadar. Raids have been conducted at Ashraf’s house. We will ensure the protection of CPEC. CPEC cannot be protected with bullets,” he affirmed.

“I am the real representative of Gwadar,” he concluded.
