Maulana Fazlur Rehman Warns Against War, Calls for Strategic Dialogue

Islamabad:Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F) Chief, Maulana Fazlur Rehman, has stated that war between Afghanistan and Pakistan would not be beneficial for either country. In an interview with a private television channel, Maulana Fazl emphasized that if both nations are heading towards war, they should halt and instead work towards a comprehensive strategy.
He pointed out the challenges faced by the Afghan Taliban in retrieving weapons from those who had fought in Afghanistan for the past 20 years. Maulana Fazl highlighted that the Taliban had agreed on the need for time to address this issue, but the situation seems to have worsened unexpectedly. He expressed concern about the deterioration of the matter and stressed the importance of dialogue and strategic planning in resolving the ongoing issues.
