Islamabad:Maulana Fazlur Rehman, the head of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam, voiced strong criticism during a gathering in Dera Ismail Khan, stating that people are not ready to leave their homes for yet another operation. He questioned how armed individuals have returned stronger after each previous operation.
Addressing the audience, Maulana Fazlur Rehman emphasized the need to clarify who guards Pakistan’s borders. He accused political leaders of being limited to politics or elections, rather than focusing on broader national security issues.
He clarified his stance, saying his criticism is not unfounded, as decisions made since Pakistan’s inception have proven consistently wrong. Maulana Fazlur Rehman stressed that while he respects the military for its defensive role, political decisions should not be immune from critique.
He concluded by highlighting the complexities of governance, asserting that neither angels nor innocents manage Pakistan. According to Maulana Fazlur Rehman, Pakistan has seen mistakes since its establishment, and it is imperative to acknowledge and rectify them.
