Massive Cargo Ship Parks Just Yards from Norwegian Home – Shocking Incident Caught on Video

Trondheim, Norway – In a bizarre and dramatic turn of events, residents of a quiet coastal village near Trondheim were left stunned when a 135-meter-long container ship veered off course and ended up just meters from a local home.
The incident occurred on Thursday morning in the Byneset area, where homeowner Jorunn Helberg was alerted by a neighbor’s frantic knock on the door. Upon looking out his window, Helberg was met with an astonishing sight — a full-sized cargo ship towering outside his lawn, so close that he had to crane his neck to see the top.
“If it had come just five meters closer, it might have ended up inside my bedroom — and then who knows what could have happened!” Helberg recounted, still visibly shaken.
The vessel, named NCL Salten, was en route from Trondheim Fjord toward Orkanger when a technical malfunction or navigational error caused it to drift dangerously close to shore. Miraculously, no injuries were reported, and there was no significant damage to either the vessel or the home.
All 16 crew members aboard the ship were confirmed safe, and emergency authorities responded swiftly to secure the scene and investigate the cause of the deviation.
Locals, though initially alarmed, were quick to share the incredible footage online, with social media users dubbing the ship “The Sea Giant on a Neighborhood Visit.” The incident has since gone viral, sparking amazement and amusement across digital platforms.
