Massive Baloch National Assembly in Gwadar Demands Political Reforms Despite Government Crackdown

Quetta:Despite a government-imposed curfew and heavy security presence, thousands gathered in Gwadar, Balochistan, for a Baloch National Assembly, demanding the recovery of missing Baloch political workers, an end to military operations, and the halt of exploitation projects. The Baloch Unity Committee warned of expanding protests nationwide if their demands were not met, emphasizing their constitutional right to peaceful assembly and justice. Dr. Manrang Baloch, addressing the assembly, accused the government of resorting to high-handed tactics to suppress the Baloch national movement and vowed to continue their struggle for rights. The assembly highlighted widespread human rights violations in Balochistan and rejected any compromise on their demands. Dr. Manrang asserted that the government’s security concerns were pretextual attempts to thwart their successful assembly, signaling growing discontent and a call for genuine leadership in Balochistan. Roads across Balochistan remain closed today due to ongoing protests.
