Malfunctioning Surveillance Cameras Hamper Investigation into Motorcycle Theft in Quetta
Quetta:Surveillance cameras installed at the Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner Offices in Quetta have been malfunctioning, impeding the investigation into a recent motorcycle theft.
According to reports, the motorcycle of a private TV channel’s DSNG engineer, Muhammad Asif, was stolen in front of the DC Office. The incident occurred despite the presence of the city’s Safe City Project cameras, which have been out of order for several days. Attempts to trace the thief using the malfunctioning cameras have been unsuccessful.
The theft was promptly reported to the Civil Lines Police Station, but as of now, no leads have been found regarding the stolen motorcycle or the thief. The situation underscores the need for functional surveillance systems to aid in crime prevention and investigation.
