Makhdoom Khan Achakzai Announces Resignation from National Assembly Committees

Opposition leader in the National Assembly and Chairman of the Pakistan Constitutional Protection Movement, Mahmood Khan Achakzai, has announced his decision to resign from all National Assembly committees.
Speaking to the media on Friday at the Parliament House, Achakzai accused National Assembly Speaker, Ayaz Sadiq, of failing to perform his duties honestly, claiming that Sadiq had acted dishonestly.
Achakzai further alleged that Speaker Ayaz Sadiq had denied Barrister Gohar, a highly respected individual, the opportunity to speak during a session. On the other hand, he claimed, Sadiq allowed former PTI leader and MNA Shir Afzal Marwat to speak because he knew that Marwat would criticize PTI.
He also expressed his frustration, stating, “We are not children; we can identify the bad fish even in dirty water. We are seasoned political players, and we understand the situation well.”
Achakzai’s resignation marks another political development amidst ongoing tensions within Pakistan’s parliamentary dynamics.
