Madiha Imam Reveals Hearing Loss After Slap During Drama Shoot
Pakistani actress Madiha Imam recently revealed that during the shooting of a drama, she suffered hearing loss in one of her ears after being slapped. The actress made this revelation during an Eid special show on a private TV channel, which was confirmed by her co-actor Faisal Qureshi.
Madiha Imam shared that she now hears less from one ear. Faisal Qureshi corroborated her statement, saying, “I know this is true; it happened while we were on set together.”
Madiha clarified that she isn’t completely deaf in one ear, but when speaking to her, people need to raise their voice a little bit. She explained that the incident happened due to a situation on set where a co-actor slapped her, and the impact affected her hearing in that ear.
She further added that many people think actors have an easy job, but it’s far from being simple or comfortable.
When host Rabia Anam asked if she had forgiven the person who slapped her, since it was an accident, Madiha responded, “Of course, who would do such a thing intentionally? It happened by mistake.”
Faisal Qureshi also chimed in, sharing his own experience of being slapped by actress Saba Qamar. He mentioned that sometimes, on set, it’s easier for a woman to receive a slap from another woman, but male actors tend to use more force, so women actors are not actually hit—they simply have to portray the act of being slapped.
