Mumbai:Renowned Bollywood filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar, famous for his critically acclaimed movies like *Fashion* and *Page 3*, has confirmed his next project will revolve around the lives and scandals of Bollywood’s famous wives.
Bhandarkar, a recipient of prestigious awards such as the National Film Award and Padma Shri, is known for his bold and sensitive exploration of social issues in films like *Chandni Bar*, *Traffic Signal*, *Page 3*, *Fashion*, *Corporate*, and *Heroine*. Now, the filmmaker is set to dive into a new subject — the private lives of Bollywood’s star wives.
Speaking to Indian media, Bhandarkar revealed, “I have announced a film titled *Wives of Bollywood*. It’s a strong subject, focusing on the lives of Bollywood wives, their emotional struggles, and the hidden scandals of their lives.” He added, “It will be a very sensitive issue, as it’s bound to make many people uncomfortable. This subject has intrigued me for the past two years, and I’ve been wanting to make a film on it. I’ve written 11 drafts for the project.”
When asked about the film’s casting, Bhandarkar stated, “The casting is not finalized yet, but I will cast good actors. Although I don’t have a huge budget, I have fantastic material to work with. This will be a more intense version of my film *Page 3* because *Wives of Bollywood* will be an eye-opening film.”
Bhandarkar’s new film promises to bring to light the unseen side of the glamorous lives of Bollywood’s leading ladies, exploring themes of fame, power, and personal turmoil.
