Quetta:Kasim Mengal, a local youth from Nokundi, addressed a press conference alleging that he passed all interviews on merit for the Community Investment Officer position at Record Data Management & Information Services (RDIMS). He claimed to have received formal emails from RDIMS’s HR department confirming his association with the company. However, his appointment was subsequently halted citing medical tests, which he believes were used as an excuse to deny local professionals positions at RDIMS.
Mengal emphasized his extensive 15-year professional experience in social and development sectors with NGOs and UN agencies since 2006. He expressed frustration over being sidelined under the pretext of medical tests, stating that RDIMS management verbally informed him of issues in his medical tests preventing him from receiving a job offer letter. He demanded RDIMS provide him with the medical test results and reasons for rejection.
Mengal criticized RDIMS management for what he termed as arbitrary decisions and expressed dissatisfaction with their handling of the situation. He urged the Chief Minister of Balochistan to intervene, ensure justice for local youth, and address their rightful employment opportunities. He announced plans to hold a follow-up press conference at Dalbandin Press Club and further actions at Quetta Press Club to outline his future course of action on this matter.
