Lebanese Student Dies After Attempting Viral ‘One Bite Challenge’ on TikTok

A Lebanese student, identified as Jouali Skaf, tragically lost his life after attempting the viral “One Bite Challenge” on the video-sharing platform TikTok.

According to Arab media reports, the student tried to complete the challenge by swallowing a croissant in one bite, but he began to choke as the food obstructed his airway. Despite immediate help from teachers and a trained school nurse, along with an attempt to transfer him to the hospital, the efforts to save him were unsuccessful.

Teachers at the school expressed their shock and sorrow, describing the incident as deeply painful, unimaginable, and an irreplaceable loss. In mourning for the student’s death, the school has announced that it will remain closed on January 20 and 21.
