Lahore Riots: PTI Leaders Found Guilty in Police Report

Lahore:In the aftermath of the October 5th riots in Lahore, a police report has found Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Salman Akram Raja and six other suspects guilty. The report, which was presented in an anti-terrorism court, concludes that the accused, including Salman Akram Raja, played a role in inciting people during the incidents of arson and vandalism.
The hearing, which took place at the Anti-Terrorism Court Lahore, involved the pre-arrest bail petitions of PTI leader Salman Akram Raja, MPA Imtiaz Waraich, and Nadeem Abbas Bara. During the hearing, the court confirmed the interim bails of the three leaders.
The police report, which pertains to the Islam Pura police station case, states that the accused individuals, including Salman Akram Raja, were involved in inciting people to violence. The investigating officer emphasized the role of these suspects in instigating the public.
The court also called for investigative reports from the cases filed at the Masti Gate and Lari Adda police stations. In the Islam Pura case, the court scheduled further arguments for the next hearing.
The court extended the interim bails of the accused until April 12.
After the hearing, Salman Akram Raja spoke to the media outside the court. He asserted that PTI founder Imran Khan would not back out of any deal, having previously rejected multiple offers similar to the one from Bani Gala. Raja emphasized that Imran Khan is in jail for the supremacy of the constitution and law in the country.
He also welcomed the opposition’s unity, stating that it was a positive development that the nation desires.
