Lahore: Police Seize Over 6 Mounds of Narcotics Worth Millions, Arrest 6 Including Women

Lahore: In a significant operation, the Lahore Police have seized narcotics worth millions of rupees, totaling over 6 mounds, and arrested six suspects, including two women. Acting on directives from the DIG Operations, a crackdown on drug traffickers was carried out by Shahdara Police Station and Saggian Police Post.
According to the ASP Shahdara, the operation resulted in the recovery of 211 kilograms of cannabis and 40 kilograms of opium from the arrested suspects. The traffickers were using a garbage truck as a cover to distribute drugs across various districts in Punjab. They were apprehended while transporting the narcotics concealed in plastic scrap.
Following the arrest of the truck drivers, additional accomplices were identified and taken into custody from different locations. The suspects, including two couples who were involved in the drug trade together, have been identified as Abdul Basit, Salahuddin, Abrar, Anmol Abrar, Aamir Babu, and Fatima Aamir Babu. The police have also seized the truck used in their operations.
Cases have been filed against the detainees, and investigations are ongoing.
