Lahore High Court Orders Auction of 759 Kanals of Property Belonging to PM Shehbaz Sharif’s Close Relatives

Lahore:Justice Shams Mahmood Mirza of the Lahore High Court has ordered the auction of 759 kanals of property owned by the close relatives of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
The court also set the dates for the auction of nine properties belonging to Shehbaz Sharif’s relatives on April 25, May 2, 9, and 16.
The counsel for the private bank stated that Brothers Sugar Mills had been declared a defaulter in 2016 due to non-payment of loans. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s cousin, Mian Aslam Bashir, and Umar Idris, along with others, had provided guarantees for the loan. Mian Farqan, Fatima Farqan, Mehr Umar, Farah Aslam, and Mehmuna Aslam also provided guarantees for the loan.
The owners of Brothers Sugar Mills had mortgaged properties for the loan, and the bank has now requested the auction of these properties to recover a sum of 20 crores, 83 lakh, and 78 thousand rupees.
Court Auctioneer, Israr Qureshi Advocate, presented the schedule for the auction of the nine properties of the defaulters.
