Islamabad:In the Jinnah House encirclement case, the Lahore Anti-Terrorism Court has conducted hearings on bail pleas for individuals including the sisters of the PTI founder and Omar Ayub, extending their interim bails until August 6th. The court instructed the police to complete their investigation before the next hearing.
Judge Khalid Arshad of the Anti-Terrorism Court presided over the bail hearings. The police presented incomplete records of the case, prompting the court to direct them to finalize their investigation and submit a comprehensive report for the next session.
Due to the non-availability of suspects because of the Lahore High Court’s order, the police were unable to conduct investigations. The court granted them time to complete their investigation and present the suspects for scrutiny.
Judge Khalid Arshad questioned the time required for completing the investigation, which had been pending for thirteen months. He instructed that those not yet included in the investigation should be incorporated.
Accused individuals including Omar Ayub, Masrat Cheema, Jamshed Cheema, Zain Qureshi, and others appeared in court and ensured their presence was recorded.
