Gwadar:Balochistan: The absence of a branch office for the Balochistan Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BBISE) in Gwadar district has led to significant distress among students and the general public. Local social and community circles expressed their concerns during discussions in response to a survey report.
According to the survey participants, the non-existence of BBISE branches for intermediate and secondary education in Gwadar forces students and ordinary citizens to travel to Quetta to obtain documents and other essential educational requirements. This inconvenience is exacerbated by the fact that Gwadar, a key modern port city in the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), lacks fundamental facilities such as a board office.
The increasing population and vast geographical area of Gwadar district highlight the critical necessity for establishing a board office to cater to the educational needs of both students and the community. Residents of Gwadar have fervently appealed to Chief Minister of Balochistan Mir Sarrfraz Khan Bugti, Provincial Minister of Education Rahila Hameed Durrani, and Member of Provincial Assembly Maulana Hidayatullah Baloch to ensure the establishment of a Balochistan Board office branch in Gwadar city. This step, they argue, would eliminate the need for residents to travel to Quetta for any educational matters, thereby improving accessibility and convenience for all stakeholders.
The issue remains a focal point of discussion as efforts continue to address the educational infrastructure deficit in Gwadar and ensure equitable access to educational services for its residents.
