KPK CM Ali Amin Gandapur Says Government’s Actions Have Made PTI’s Protest a Success
Islamabad:Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) Ali Amin Gandapur has claimed that the government’s decision to shut down the country has, in effect, made the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) protest a success. He pointed out the imposition of Section 144 across Punjab and the closure of hotels and bus terminals as evidence that the government is panicking.
In a statement, Gandapur said that both the federal and Punjab governments are showing signs of nervousness, with the closure of motorways and highways serving as clear proof of their anxiety. He emphasized that while the government is causing inconvenience to the public by shutting down the country, PTI’s protest would remain peaceful.
Gandapur further stated that imprisoned PTI founder and former Prime Minister Imran Khan has managed to put the ruling government in a state of confusion. “With just one call, they have lost their composure,” he added, referring to Khan’s call for a nationwide protest.
It is important to note that PTI’s Imran Khan has called for a major protest in Islamabad on November 24, 2024, and preparations for the demonstration are reportedly in full swing.
In response, the government has issued a warning to PTI, stating that Section 144 has been enforced in Islamabad, and any attempt to hold protests will not be tolerated. Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, while speaking to the media, warned that if PTI proceeds with its plans to storm Islamabad, the party would be held responsible for any loss of life or property. He stressed that the government is prepared to take strict action to prevent any disruption in the capital.
