KP Police Destroys TTP Hideouts in Laki Marwat Operation, Terrorist Attacks Foiled

In a major operation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Laki Marwat district, police destroyed several temporary hideouts of the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) during a search and strike operation.
The operation took place in the border areas of Laki Marwat, where police used bombs to destroy the temporary hideouts of TTP militants. Police also targeted a camp located in the mountains at the junction of Karak and Mianwali, which was successfully demolished.
The Inspector General of Police (IGP) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa stated that all temporary shelters along the Punjab border, including those in Abbasah Khatak and nearby areas, will be eradicated. The cleanup operation will continue until the last hideout is eliminated.
In addition to the operation in Laki Marwat, there was an attack on the Khyber Jamrud Bypass checkpoint by militants. In the attack, two police personnel, Constables Kaleem and Liaqat, were injured, but the militants managed to flee despite being injured.
In Peshawar, an unknown assailant carried out a grenade attack on the Regi Police Station’s Malazai checkpost; fortunately, there were no casualties.
Meanwhile, in Laki Marwat, an attack on the Gambila Police Station was thwarted by police forces. The militants retreated after the police retaliated with gunfire, and there were no casualties in the incident.
Earlier on Saturday night, militants carried out attacks in various regions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including Peshawar, Karak, Tank, Bannu, and Dera Ismail Khan, but police successfully repelled all attempts.
