KP Moving Towards Welfare State Vision of Imran Khan: Finance Advisor Muzzammil Aslam

PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) is steadily moving towards the vision of a welfare state envisioned by former Prime Minister Imran Khan, said KP Finance Advisor Muzzammil Aslam in a statement.
According to Aslam, the provincial government has approved a special health card covering major medical procedures, including kidney transplants, liver transplants, bone marrow transplants, and cochlear implants.
He further stated that efforts are ongoing to clear outstanding dues across various departments. Just last week, the KP Cabinet approved the release of over Rs. 2 billion in dues for the Textbook Board related to the merged districts, spanning from 2021 to 2024.
Additionally, a budget of Rs. 470 million has been approved for the provision of free school bags to students in all government schools. Aslam emphasized that these steps are part of fulfilling Imran Khan’s vision of a welfare-oriented state.
