KP CM Ali Amin Gandapur Urges Governor Faisal Karim Kundi to Stick to His Role
Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has responded sharply to Governor Faisal Karim Kundi, urging him to remain within his constitutional role. In a statement issued from Peshawar, Gandapur emphasized that it was not the governor’s responsibility to call an All Parties Conference (APC), a task that falls to the Chief Minister.
Gandapur further stated, “If anyone invites me for the province, I will attend, but the Governor should speak within his position.” He also questioned the legitimacy of Kundi’s actions, saying, “If Kundi’s party had the mandate, then they could take such initiatives.”
Addressing the recent protests, the Chief Minister recalled the violent crackdown during their demonstrations, mentioning that his party’s activists were subjected to gunfire, with thousands arrested and many still missing. He reiterated that Kundi should stay focused on his constitutional duties and not exceed his authority.
