KP CM Ali Amin Gandapur Calls for Judicial Commissions on May 9 and November 26 Incidents

Islamabad:Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has called for the formation of judicial commissions to investigate the events of May 9 and November 26. In an exclusive interview with a private TV channel, CM Gandapur reiterated his stance on these significant incidents and the need for accountability.
Gandapur emphasized that Mohsin Naqvi, the caretaker Chief Minister of Punjab, was denying the use of force, stating that the allegations of gunfire and injuries were unfounded. “We demand the formation of a commission to probe these matters, and we will prove that shots were fired and people were injured,” he said.
Regarding the May 9 incident, Gandapur clarified that he was not the mastermind behind the events. “I was arrested earlier, and we are requesting the formation of a judicial commission for both May 9 and November 26,” he added.
Addressing the controversial situation involving Bushra Bibi, the wife of PTI Chairman Imran Khan, he stated that the party had made sure she was safe. “Bushra Bibi is our leader’s wife, and there was never any question of leaving her alone,” Gandapur stated, recounting how he escorted her to Peshawar via Mansehra, despite being pursued by security forces.
On the delay in negotiations, he pointed out that the Speaker of the National Assembly’s foreign travel had caused setbacks in the process. He added that once the Speaker returned, talks with PTI founder Imran Khan resumed, and a third round of meetings was scheduled.
Furthermore, Gandapur expressed concerns over the state’s governance, stating that the provincial governor had become involved in political maneuvering and criticized the unequal distribution of resources under the National Finance Commission (NFC). He stressed the importance of Pakistan’s Islamic identity, noting the threats posed by foreign powers, including India and Israel.
He also pointed to Pakistan’s pivotal role in the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan and underscored the ongoing threat posed by external forces, including the rise of extremists from across the border.
