Kohlu City Plagued by Piles of Garbage as Municipal Committee Fails to Maintain Cleanliness
Kohlu:According to reports, the municipal committee staff in Kohlu has gone missing, leaving the city buried under heaps of garbage. Key areas such as the Miri Bazaar and other important markets have been neglected, resulting in an accumulation of trash throughout the city. The much-hyped claims of turning Kohlu into a ‘Paris’ now seem like a distant dream, as the city’s cleanliness continues to deteriorate.
Despite being a small city, measuring barely 10 kilometers, Kohlu’s municipal staff has failed to maintain basic hygiene. The lack of proper waste management is raising concerns about the spread of diseases, especially as the presence of stray dogs and the stench of dead animals further worsen the situation.
Local residents have expressed their frustration and have urged Deputy Commissioner Akil Ahmed Baloch, along with Brigadier Colonel Baber Khalil, Commandant of the Meiwand Rifles, to ensure immediate action for the cleaning and upkeep of the city. The growing health risks due to poor sanitation require urgent intervention to safeguard the well-being of the public.
