Islamabad (Qudrat Roznama): Following the backdrop of heightened tensions in Gaza due to Israeli aggression and the rapid acceptance of boycotting Western products, Zulfiqar Ahmed, the owner of local soft drink Cola Next, was reportedly abducted last Tuesday evening from Maripur Road in Karachi.
According to eyewitnesses, armed individuals in a double cabin vehicle intercepted Zulfiqar Ahmed’s car, but upon no FIR being registered by the police, his family has approached the Sindh High Court for his recovery.
Eyewitnesses further disclosed that Zulfiqar Ahmed’s car was stopped by a black-colored Vigo in front of the Police Training Center on Maripur. Masked individuals forcefully removed Zulfiqar Ahmed and his friend Qaisar from their vehicle and transferred them into the Vigo.
After covering some distance, Qaisar was released from the vehicle, but Zulfiqar Ahmed was not allowed to leave. Upon the abduction request from Cola Next owner, a complaint was filed by Imran, manager of Aachi Textile Mills, at the Kalri Police Station. However, no FIR was registered by the police.
Following the police’s failure to register an FIR regarding Zulfiqar Ahmed’s abduction, his family has now approached the court. It is noteworthy that Cola Next is a part of a major group in Pakistan, including Meezan Oil.
