Khyber Pakhtunkhwa CM’s Special Assistant Mashal Yousafzai De-notified

Peshawar: Mashal Yousafzai, the Special Assistant to the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), has been de-notified from her position. The notification regarding her removal was issued by the KP Department of Administration.
Mashal Yousafzai had initially been removed from the position of advisor to the Chief Minister in September this year. However, later that month, she was reinstated in the provincial cabinet as the Special Assistant to the CM.
At the time of her reappointment, it was stated that the decision to bring Yousafzai back into the cabinet was made on the instructions of Imran Khan, the founding leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party.
In April 2024, Mashal Yousafzai was embroiled in controversy when allegations were raised against her regarding the purchase of vehicles for the Department of Social Welfare and Women Development, and the Zakat and Ushr Department, in violation of the KP government’s austerity policy.
