Peshawar: Following their release after arrests during protests at D-Chowk, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur welcomed the government employees with flowers and announced a one-step promotion for them.
In addition to the promotions, the Chief Minister granted the released employees a week of leave and a stipend of 10,000 rupees.
The arrested government employees included 34 police personnel, 7 TMAs, and 42 rescue workers. Upon their return to Peshawar, the Chief Minister personally greeted them, celebrating their release from custody.
