Karachi Traffic Police Announces New Plan to Improve Traffic Flow

Karachi:The Karachi Traffic Police have announced a new plan aimed at improving traffic flow in key areas of the city. According to the plan, certain routes will be restricted for rickshaws, taxis, and on-call taxis to reduce congestion.

The plan includes the following key measures:

– **3 Talwar Area**: Entry of rickshaws, taxis, and on-call taxis will be prohibited. In case of heavy traffic congestion, alternative routes like Clifton Bridge, Race Course, and Chaudhry Khaliq uz Zaman Road can be used.

– **Tariq Road to Allah Wali, Ittehad Signal, Saddar, Fawara Chowk to GP Office, and Singer Chowk to Zeeb un Nisa**: These areas will also be off-limits to rickshaws and taxis.

– **Jama Cloth to Eid Gah Chowk**: Rickshaws and taxis will not be allowed in this stretch.

– **Millennium Drug Road Traffic**: Traffic from Millennium Drug Road can proceed towards Millennium Bridge and then onto Neepa.

– **Hyderi Market Road**: No entry for rickshaws and taxis in this area.

– **North Karachi Commercial Traffic**: Traffic will be diverted from 5 Star Chowrangi to Ship Owner Chowrangi and Lundi Kotal Chowrangi.

– **Board Office Traffic**: Traffic will be diverted from KDA Chowrangi to Ziauddin Chowrangi and then to Paharganj.

The new plan aims to alleviate traffic congestion and ensure smoother movement throughout Karachi’s busy areas. The Karachi Traffic Police has advised all commuters to follow the new guidelines for better traffic management.
