KARACHI: In a startling revelation, the individual caught robbing a Cuisine Center in Gulshan-e-Iqbal while wearing a Rangers uniform has been identified as an officer from the same paramilitary force. The suspect, Zahid, was apprehended and found in possession of stolen cash and other items.
Sources indicate Zahid was on a one-month leave when the incident occurred. Upon investigation, Adil Jan, the owner of the Cuisine Center, disclosed that he knew the officer involved and that a dispute over money had escalated, leading Zahid to allegedly steal the cash and later drop him off in Surjani Town.
Acting on the complainant’s tip-off, Rangers raided the residence of the accused officer and recovered 1.8 million rupees in cash along with other stolen items. Legal action is expected against Zahid, while potential charges against the complainant are being considered due to discrepancies in his statements to the police.
