Karachi Private School Introduces Pakistan’s First Female AI Teacher
Karachi: A private school in Karachi has achieved a significant milestone in the country’s educational landscape by introducing Pakistan’s first female Artificial Intelligence (AI) teacher. The AI teacher, named “Aini,” has been integrated into the school’s curriculum in the Gulshan-e-Iqbal area. Designed specifically to teach subjects such as mathematics, science, and languages to fifth-grade students, Aini is part of a groundbreaking initiative that uses AI technology to enhance the learning experience.
Features of Aini:
Ability to respond to students’ questions
Assess students’ performance
Adjust lessons according to the student’s pace of learning
This innovative approach leverages a cutting-edge AI system that offers personalized learning opportunities for students. The introduction of Aini marks a unique and modern experiment in Pakistan’s education sector.
Background: This launch follows another AI-driven initiative in Pakistan, where the “HeartLine Chatbot” was introduced to assist the country’s 32.5 million high blood pressure patients. Launched during the 27th Annual Conference of the Pakistan Hypertension League, the AI chatbot provides essential information and guidance to patients, helping to improve healthcare delivery in a country where only 11% of hypertension patients have successfully managed their condition.
Both these initiatives demonstrate the growing impact of AI in transforming both education and healthcare in Pakistan.
