Karachi:Police have arrested three individuals, including two law enforcement officers, on charges of robbery at a banquet center in Gulshan-e-Iqbal.
The incident occurred on July 10th at the banquet center where all three accused were allegedly involved in the robbery. The arrested individuals have been identified as Line Officer Naik Zahid, Constable Bilal, and a third individual known as Owais.
According to reports, the suspects looted Rs. 1.8 million in cash and two mobile phones from the shop. Sources indicate the incident stems from a financial dispute involving residents connected to the chicken and banquet business.
During the investigation, it was revealed that both officers misused their uniforms during leave and engaged in illegal activities related to their personal identities. One officer reportedly brought the other officers to the banquet center.
Formal legal proceedings have been initiated against both officers, while all three suspects have been handed over to the police for further legal action.
