Karachi Airport Attack: Terrorists’ Hideout Traced Near PIB Colony

Karachi(Qudrat Daily)Law enforcement agencies have successfully located the hideout of the terrorists involved in the attack on a Chinese convoy near Karachi’s international airport.

According to media reports, the terrorists had prepared for the suicide attack at a flat in the **Old Sabzi Mandi area** under the jurisdiction of **PIB Colony Police Station**. The flat, which was rented eight months ago, was occupied by the terrorists, who had been living there posing as students.

The law enforcement agencies have sealed the apartment and gathered crucial evidence. Sources reported that authorities found a **map of the airport**, **DNA samples**, **traces of explosives**, **clothing**, and **hair** at the hideout. All samples have been preserved for DNA analysis.

Reports further revealed that a suspect arrested in connection with the airport bombing had visited this flat twice. The terrorists had rented the flat, consisting of two rooms, for **12,000 rupees**. The main facilitator of the attack had been residing in the flat for the past eight months.

Sources also indicated that the **vehicle used in the suicide bombing** had been loaded with explosives in **Balochistan**, while the **circuit and ignition system** for the explosion were brought into Karachi.

The flat in the **Old Sabzi Mandi area** had also been used for reconnaissance of the airport and other locations, as per the investigation. Authorities have now conducted two sessions of a **Joint Investigation Team (JIT)** to interrogate the arrested suspects.

This attack took place on **October 7**, when a bombing near Karachi’s **International Airport** killed **three people**, including two Chinese nationals, and left **17 others injured**. The **Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD)** took swift action against the individuals involved, arresting a woman and several facilitators, including members of the bank staff.

The investigation into this attack is ongoing, with law enforcement intensifying efforts to uncover further links and details.
