K-4 Water Project to be Completed by June 2026 for Clean Water Supply to Karachi: WAPDA Chairman

Karachi:The Chairman of WAPDA (Water and Power Development Authority) has announced that the K-4 water project, aimed at providing clean drinking water to Karachi, will be completed by June 2026.

During a briefing to the Senate’s Standing Committee on Water Resources, the Chairman stated that the project is crucial for addressing Karachi’s water shortage and ensuring the supply of clean water to the city.

He further added that the Karachi Water and Sewerage Board has yet to start planning the distribution of water across the city, which may lead to a delay of 2 to 3 years in the overall water supply to Karachi.
