JUI-F Senator Accuses Election Rigging in PB-45 Quetta, Vows to Seek Justice

Quetta:Jamaat-e-Ulema Islam (JUI-F) Provincial Amir and Senator Maulana Abdul Wasay has accused the election authorities of manipulating the results in PB-45 Quetta during the recent general elections. Speaking to the media, he claimed that despite JUI-F candidate Usman Parkani winning the constituency, the results were altered, and his significant lead recorded in Form 45 was annulled using fake figures in Form 47. As a result, the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) candidate was declared the winner.

Maulana Wasay also pointed out that when the Supreme Court ordered a re-election at 15 polling stations, the same fraudulent process was repeated. He further stressed that the people of Balochistan have been deprived of basic services, with the provincial government failing to provide adequate facilities in health and education sectors. The security situation, he added, has deteriorated to the point where citizens are at the mercy of criminals.

The JUI-F leader announced a series of protests across Balochistan in response to the election irregularities and the ongoing issues in the province. A rally will be held in Chaman on January 20, followed by protests in several other towns and cities, including Nushki, Turbat, Chaghi, Kharan, Washuk, Panjgur, Gwadar, Hub Chowki, and Lasbela in February.

“We will seek our right through all constitutional means. While we reject the idea of taking up arms, we are compelled to protest due to the ongoing injustices and the frustration of the people,” Maulana Wasay stated.

He also reiterated the demand for the official results in PB-45 to be declared in accordance with Form 45, and warned that further manipulation could lead to unrest in the region.
