JUI-F Reacts to Gazette Notification of Societies Registration (Amendment) Act 2024

Islamabad:The Jamaat-e-Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F)** has expressed its reaction to the issuance of the Gazette notification of the **Societies Registration (Amendment) Act 2024** by the National Assembly.
In a statement, JUI-F spokesperson **Aslam Ghauri** said that today marks a significant milestone in their efforts, describing it as the fruit of their hard work and struggle. He emphasized that with the help of Allah, the party had paved the way for the protection of religious seminaries, calling this moment a victory for their cause.
Ghauri highlighted that, as a result of JUI-F’s continuous efforts, religious institutions will now receive stronger and more robust legal protection. He also attributed the success to the unity of scholars and religious institutions across the country, emphasizing that these seminaries are not just fortresses of Islam but also protectors of Pakistan’s ideological and geographical boundaries.
The spokesperson further asserted that the **JUI-F** will staunchly protect the autonomy of religious schools and will not allow any conspiracy against them to succeed. “There will be no compromise on the autonomy of religious seminaries. We will face every challenge with determination and ensure their complete protection,” Ghauri added.
It is worth noting that the **Societies Registration Act** had received the **President’s signature**, officially becoming law. According to the **National Assembly Secretariat’s Gazette notification**, this Act will be referred to as the **Societies Registration (Amendment) Act 2024**, and it will come into effect immediately.
