JUI-F Leader Hafiz Hamdullah Slams Mines and Minerals Bill, Calls it Violation of 18th Amendment

Quetta:Hafiz Hamdullah, a central leader of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F), has strongly criticized the approval of the Mines and Minerals Bill by the Balochistan Assembly, calling it a direct violation of the 18th Amendment. He described the legislation as unconstitutional, an attack on the Constitution, and a blow to provincial autonomy. Hamdullah stated that the bill is a blatant attempt to seize Balochistan’s mineral resources.
In a statement, Hamdullah pointed out the irony that this “loot” of resources is being carried out by parties such as the PPP, PML-N, and others, who claim to be the creators of the 18th Amendment and champions of provincial autonomy. He emphasized that Balochistan’s mineral wealth should not be allowed to be taken over by any external entity.
Hamdullah further urged the Baloch and Pashtun people to raise their voices against this bill, stressing that it is their responsibility to protect their rights and resources. He advised the public not to wait for a savior from the sky and called for the exposure and accountability of those responsible for passing the bill.
