JUI-Balochistan Expresses Concern Over Political Instability and Deteriorating Law and Order in the Province

Quetta:The Provincial Executive of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) Balochistan has expressed deep concern over the growing political uncertainty and worsening law and order situation in the province. The party stated that the conditions in Balochistan are becoming increasingly dire, which poses a severe threat to the stability of the province. It pointed out that while Balochistan is facing severe political uncertainty, the security situation has also reached alarming levels.

In its statement, JUI Balochistan condemned the recent terrorist charges against the leadership of the Balochistan National Party (BNP), calling it a blatant example of political revenge and a violation of democratic norms. It also mentioned the targeting of JUI leaders, including the brutal murder of Wadera Ghulam Sarwar Zahri and his companion, the earlier assassination of Maulana Sadiq Mengal, and the recent public killing of Haji Alf Khan Nechari’s son in Kalat. The party lamented that the perpetrators of these heinous crimes have not yet been apprehended, which highlights the indifference and negligence of state institutions.

The statement further noted that the security situation in Quetta, Mastung, Kalat, Duki, Zhob, and other districts continues to deteriorate, increasing anxiety and insecurity among the public. Regular road blockages and rising tensions in tribal areas are adding to fears of a larger crisis.

The JUI-Balochistan also criticized the Election Commission’s recent decision, accusing it of blatant partiality and undermining the democratic process. The party expressed that it feels the Election Commission is acting to protect the interests of a specific political party, which is damaging the democratic values in the country. JUI-Balochistan declared that it will not accept this unjust decision and will continue its democratic and constitutional struggle to protect the rights of the people and to promote peace and stability in the country.

The statement also called for the resignation of the Chief Election Commissioner, whose term has expired, as their decisions are believed to be fueling further instability. The JUI emphasized that the responsibility for the growing instability lies with the ruling authorities.
