Quetta:Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) has announced a province-wide wheel jam strike on January 8 to protest against the alleged rigging in the PB-45 by-election. Speaking at a press conference at his residence, JUI Senator Maulana Wasee confirmed that all major and minor highways from Gwadar to Chaman would be closed on that day.

The JUI leader asserted that the strike would continue as part of their ongoing protest. Following the strike, the central party will consult with its leadership nationwide before making further announcements on the situation.
