Jofra Archer Sets Unwanted Record with Costliest Spell in IPL History

English fast bowler Jofra Archer has set an unwanted record by delivering the most expensive spell in the history of the Indian Premier League (IPL).

In the 18th season of the IPL, Rajasthan Royals and Sunrisers Hyderabad faced off on Sunday. Sunrisers Hyderabad’s batters dominated Rajasthan’s bowlers, scoring a massive 286 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in their allotted 20 overs, marking the second-highest total in IPL history.

During this match, Jofra Archer bowled the most expensive spell in IPL history. Archer conceded 76 runs in his 4 overs without taking a wicket, making it the costliest spell ever bowled by any bowler in the tournament’s history.

The previous record was held by Gujarat Titans’ bowler Mohammed Shami, who gave away 73 runs in 4 overs against Delhi Capitals last year.

Despite the monumental effort from Sunrisers Hyderabad, Rajasthan Royals managed to score 242 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in their pursuit of the 287-run target in their allotted 20 overs.
