Jiyand Baloch Calls for Unity and Support for Baloch Students in the Struggle for National Survival

Quetta:Jiyand Baloch, the central chairman of the Baloch Students Organization (BSO), expressed his concerns over the ongoing state aggression, exploitation, and oppression targeting the Baloch community. In a statement, he condemned the state’s efforts to incapacitate Baloch society at every level, stating that no household, tribe, or region has remained unaffected by the state’s genocidal policies.
Jiyand Baloch highlighted that in these challenging circumstances, movements like the Baloch Unity Committee have emerged as beacons of hope for the masses, acting as a powerful force against the state’s oppressive policies. The Baloch Unity Committee, through its peaceful and democratic political actions, has courageously confronted colonial forces, becoming a guarantor of the Baloch nation’s survival and resistance.
He pointed out that the leadership of the Baloch Unity Committee, including key figures like Maherang Baloch, Bebo Baloch, Sami Baloch, and Beberg Baloch, along with numerous other political activists, are currently incarcerated. Additionally, many young people have been subjected to enforced disappearances and inhuman torture in detention cells. Despite this, Jiyand Baloch emphasized the importance of maintaining the momentum of the Baloch public movement for the protection of Baloch identity and national survival, warning that the state would leave no stone unturned to crush this resistance.
Jiyand Baloch also discussed the impact of colonialism on Baloch society, which has been under colonial rule for centuries. He stressed that this colonial subjugation has led to a stagnation in the natural development of the Baloch community. He emphasized that the key to overcoming the obstacles to progress and development lies in an uncompromising struggle for liberation. The conscious and energetic segment of Baloch society, especially the Baloch students, must take an active role in political processes and channel their intellectual strength to move the revolution forward.
Furthermore, Jiyand Baloch expressed solidarity with the families of the martyrs of the Shal tragedy and condemned the arrests of the leaders of the Baloch Unity Committee. He called for the safe release of all detained political activists. Additionally, he extended full support to the Baloch National Party’s planned long march on March 28, emphasizing the importance of collective action in the ongoing struggle for Baloch rights and sovereignty.
