Islamabad: Pakistan’s top TikTok star Jannat Mirza recently spoke candidly about her breakup with fellow TikToker and long-time friend Umar Butt. In an interview on Ahmed Ali Butt’s podcast, Mirza revealed that she was not prepared for the breakup but took the step with her parents’ consent.
Mirza explained that while the breakup was challenging, she found solace in the fact that their relationship ended before marriage. She noted that a separation after marriage would have been far more painful, as it would have involved divorce.
The TikTok star clarified that she and Butt were not formally engaged; they only had a confirmed commitment. After realizing that their future together was not feasible, Mirza decided to end the relationship with her parents’ approval.
The decision, she mentioned, took two years of consideration and enduring many issues. Ultimately, she concluded that ending the relationship was the best choice for her long-term happiness.
Regarding future plans, Mirza expressed that she will pursue marriage with her parents’ blessing, preferring arranged marriages due to past experiences. She admitted that she used to tolerate unacceptable behavior and give people multiple chances, but now she has little patience and believes that there is no place for those who wrong her in her life.
