Quetta:In Quetta, Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rahman Baloch, Deputy Amir of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Balochistan and MPA from Gwadar, vehemently condemned the violence, false charges, and arrests of mothers, sisters, and the oppressed who were protesting for the recovery of missing persons. He called upon the Chief Minister and Interior Minister of Balochistan to ensure justice, cease the use of force, and form committees to resolve issues through peaceful negotiations.
Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rahman emphasized the humane and sincere role needed to recover missing persons, stating that the issue of missing persons in Balochistan is a humanitarian crisis affecting families deeply. He stressed that families of missing persons have a legitimate right to peaceful protests under democratic norms, criticizing the government and authorities for resorting to excessive force and arrests instead of dialogue.
He urged the authorities to engage in meaningful dialogue with the families of missing persons and take immediate, sincere steps for their recovery. Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rahman highlighted the plight of mothers and sisters leaving their homes in challenging circumstances to peacefully protest, only to face repression and arrests, which he termed as unjust and against legal rights.
The Deputy Amir of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Balochistan called for raising voices on every platform, including parliament, to uphold justice for missing persons and address the hardships faced by their families. He emphasized that resorting to operations, arrests, and the misuse of power exacerbates issues and creates instability, urging a concerted effort to combat injustices, human rights violations, and the unlawful use of force in Balochistan.
