Jamal Shah Kakr Urges Provincial Governments to Take Action on Inflation Relief

Quetta:Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) Balochistan General Secretary and Member of National Assembly, Jamal Shah Kakr, stated that while inflation has been controlled at the federal level, its benefits have not yet reached the public. He emphasized that it is now time for provincial governments to take concrete measures to provide relief to the people from the burden of rising prices. He further asserted that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the federal government has done its part, and now the responsibility lies with the provincial governments to ensure that the people are freed from the hardship of inflation.

These remarks were made during a meeting with a delegation from Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) in Quetta. Jamal Shah Kakr highlighted that since Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif assumed office, he and his government have been working diligently to control inflation, and these efforts have been fruitful. As a result, the policy rate has been reduced to 13%, while inflation has come down to 4%.

He further stated that with the reduction in inflation and the revival of the economy, the provincial governments must now step up to take action and ensure that the public receives the benefits of these efforts. He pointed out that price control remains the responsibility of provincial governments and administrative bodies, emphasizing that without their active involvement, the federal government’s initiatives will be ineffective.

“People have endured difficult times, and while the Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) government has worked to make life easier for the public, the actions of hoarders and greedy individuals have deprived the people of the relief they deserve,” said Kakr. He called on the provincial governments to step forward and help alleviate the suffering of the people.
