Jamaat-e-Islami’s Maulana Abdul Haq Hashmi Criticizes Government and Promises Relief Through Protests

Quetta:Maulana Abdul Haq Hashmi, the Amir of Jamaat-e-Islami Balochistan, has criticized the current government for its handling of national issues, accusing them of merely making statements without implementing practical solutions. Hashmi emphasized that Jamaat-e-Islami approaches politics as a religious duty and promised that if the nation supports them, they will deliver relief from the exploitation by ruling elites, establishment, and Independent Power Producers (IPPs), as well as issues like inflation, unjust taxes, and lawlessness.

Hashmi expressed concerns about the ongoing strikes and road blockades that are causing daily life difficulties for the people of Balochistan. He highlighted the rise in prices and shortages of essential commodities such as food items and petrol due to the influence of mafias. According to him, instead of making empty promises, the rulers need to take concrete actions to address these issues.

He drew a parallel between the sacrifices of Jamaat-e-Islami leaders in East Pakistan and the current struggle against oppression, dictatorship, and corruption. Hashmi urged the public to support Jamaat-e-Islami in its fight against these issues, asserting that the party’s leadership is dedicated to eliminating tyranny and amending unjust agreements with IPPs that have led to inflated electricity prices and taxes.

Hashmi also criticized the ruling elite for indulging in corruption and for creating severe economic conditions for the common people. He emphasized that Jamaat-e-Islami is committed to providing relief and will continue its protests until substantial changes are made. He called upon the public to join their demonstrations, support financially, and participate in efforts to end injustice and corruption. Hashmi warned that if the current administration fails to address these issues, Jamaat-e-Islami will extend its protests to other cities, including Quetta.
