Jamaat-e-Islami Threatens Separate Negotiations if Government Ignores Demands
Islamabad:Leader of Jamaat-e-Islami Liaquat Baloch has warned that if the government does not take their demands seriously, they will withdraw from negotiations.
According to Dawn News, Liaquat Baloch stated that if committee after committee is formed without resolving issues, protests will escalate at Committee Chowk.
It should be noted that Jamaat-e-Islami’s protest against expensive electricity and inflation entered its seventh day, while the government has requested more time to address their demands.
On July 29, addressing the protest against inflation and hefty bills, Jamaat-e-Islami’s Amir Hafiz Naeem-ul-Rahman had demanded 1,300 CC cars for all ministers, judges, and provided 1,300 CC cars to all judges.
On July 26, Jamaat-e-Islami’s Amir Hafiz Naeem-ul-Rahman stated that workers will stage protests wherever hurdles are encountered, and they will transform one protest into multiple protests.
It should be noted that on July 11, Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan had announced a protest in the federal capital Islamabad on July 26.
Amir Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Hafiz Naeem-ul-Rahman said that the people are not receiving any relief, and all the promises of the rulers are turning into slogans.
He said that 42 billion dollars have been given to the people of Pakistan in the form of the IMF, and he has been asked to answer how much tax President of the country Asif Zardari has given.
Amir Jamaat-e-Islami said that we will set up protest camps across the country tomorrow, and the decision has been taken that there will be a sit-in in Islamabad on July 26. If the government thinks that there should be no sit-in, give relief to the people.
