Jamaat-e-Islami Leader Calls for Protests Against Imposed Government Measures

Islamabad:Hafiz Na’eem-ur-Rehman, the leader of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan, has asserted that the government, imposed through Form 47, must now relent. The ongoing protest scheduled to begin on July 26 will continue until our demands are met.

Addressing a trader convention in Rawalpindi, he criticized the government for burdening traders with unjust taxes. Hafiz Na’eem-ul-Rehman remarked that in the feudalistic governance structure, the ruling elite is drawing blood from the common people. He questioned why the wealthy landowners, who were rewarded thousands of acres by the British out of loyalty, are only paying 4% in taxes.

He urged 250 million people to recognize their power and step outside for justice, stressing the necessity to reclaim privileges from the privileged class.

The Amir of Jamaat-e-Islami emphasized that the feudal class, by extracting taxes from the poor rather than from themselves, is creating economic inequities. He questioned judges, generals, and affluent bureaucrats about the rationale behind extracting benefits from the nation’s taxes.

He asserted that if taxes are paid, then education, health, and security are constitutional rights that should be accessible.

All parties are waiting their turn

He said that instead of granting us our rights, they impose restrictions on social media. All parties are waiting for their turn.

Hafiz Na’eem-ul-Rehman said that youth should come out and claim their rights, adding that we will not profit from the conscience of the people like rulers.

People should come out for their children and support Jamaat-e-Islami

He told all the workers of political parties to come out for their children and support Jamaat-e-Islami.

He said that Jamaat-e-Islami believes in peaceful, organized, and constitutional struggle, we do not want to push our nation towards looting, anarchy, and any unconstitutional work.
