Jamaat-e-Islami Balochistan Chief Calls for Rights and Justice for Balochistan

Quetta: Amir of Jamaat-e-Islami Balochistan and MPA, Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman Baloch, has urged the rulers of Rawalpindi and Islamabad to change their attitude towards Balochistan and its people. He called for giving Balochistan its due rights, ending the oppression and injustice, and fostering love and care for the people of the province. He further emphasized that the best way to prevent Balochistan from becoming like Bangladesh is by granting the people of Balochistan their rights, bringing the missing persons to light, and providing Balochistan with a fair share in key projects like CPEC, Saindak, and Reko Diq.

Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman Baloch stated that the issues and challenges facing Balochistan cannot be resolved by forceful imposition. He argued that the problems, hardships, and growing resentments were exacerbated by the imposition of policies and leaders who had little regard for the people of Balochistan. He further vowed to unite people from all communities, including Baloch and Pashtun, to fight for their rights. He emphasized that the “Haqq Do Balochistan” movement will bring together a million people, who will rise against injustice and claim their rightful share of the province’s resources.

He also criticized the Pakistan-China Economic Corridor (CPEC), stating that while check posts had been established in Balochistan, the actual projects benefiting the region were set up in other areas, leaving the people of Balochistan with no tangible gains from CPEC. He slammed the controversial PICA Act as a black law aimed at suppressing the truth and silencing those who demand their rights. Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman Baloch expressed that if the rulers, powerful institutions, security agencies, and media could be reformed, the issues plaguing the province could be resolved, and the problems of corruption and insecurity would come to an end.

Under the “Haqq Do Balochistan” movement, Jamaat-e-Islami will work to unite the masses and lead a public revolutionary movement, aiming to gather one lakh people in Quetta. He declared that through this movement, they will force the rulers to release their missing loved ones, end corruption, and give Balochistan the rights it deserves. He emphasized that the elimination of exploitation, looting, and injustice is an urgent necessity for the province.

Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman Baloch expressed confidence that the people of Quetta and Balochistan will fully support the upcoming revolutionary sit-ins and protests, and with their support, they will successfully claim their rights from the rulers. He stressed that after trying every other option, the people of Balochistan have no choice but to join Jamaat-e-Islami in their struggle for justice and rights.
