Jafar Express Resumes Operation After 16 Days, Departs for Quetta

Peshawar:Jafar Express, the train service connecting Peshawar to Quetta, has resumed its operation after a 16-day suspension following a terrorist attack. The train departed from Peshawar for Quetta with 280 passengers on board, marking the return of an important transportation link that had been halted due to security concerns.
Federal Minister for Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan Affairs and SAFRON, Amir Muqam, spoke to the media and expressed satisfaction that those who sought to hinder the development of Balochistan have been disappointed. He stated that the Prime Minister and the Army Chief remain committed to ensuring the security of the country.
Muqam further emphasized that the nation’s fight against terrorism will not be swayed by the nefarious plans of militants, adding that the entire nation stands united against terrorism. He also dismissed any political interference in national security issues, saying that the last call made by the founder of PTI (Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf) was futile.
Addressing the political situation, Amir Muqam stated that people would continue to reject calls for protests by PTI. He also commented on the change in leadership in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, noting that it was an internal matter of the party, as they have frequently shifted members in and out of the party.
The minister accused a specific political party of spreading hatred and divisiveness for political gain, particularly PTI, which he claimed organizes protests for its own interests.
It is worth noting that the train service between Quetta and the rest of the country was suspended on March 11, following the terrorist attack on Jafar Express in the Kachhi district, which had targeted the train.
