Jacobabad: 10-Member Foreign Family Held in Custody for a Month, No Deportation or Facilities Provided

Jacobabad:A 10-member foreign family, including women and children, has been held in detention at the Youth Hostel in Jacobabad for over a month. The family, consisting of Afghan nationals, was initially brought to the area after being intercepted while attempting to travel to Afghanistan via the Balochistan route through Chaman. However, their deportation has not been carried out, and the matter remains unresolved, leaving the family stranded in dire conditions.

According to reports, the family has been kept at the Youth Hostel for the past month, where no arrangements have been made for their basic needs, including food and water. The children, particularly, are suffering due to the harsh cold weather. The family members have complained about the lack of facilities and proper care during their prolonged detention. Despite their ongoing struggle, there has been no action to expedite their deportation or improve their living conditions.

This situation has raised concerns regarding the handling of foreign detainees and the lack of necessary resources at the Youth Hostel. The authorities have yet to comment on the delay in the deportation process or the conditions at the hostel.
